Vibe Magazine analysis - Usher - Front Cover

- Low angle, medium long shot - connotation - dominance.
- airplane in the background, Usher in a pilot costume, wearing aviator shades - links to what a pilot would wear and shows star status. 
- Usher's styled as a pilot to make him look sexy.
 - Background shows a U.S.A airplane - implying Usher is a global superstar, a proud American and Ionic. 
- High key lighting - shining in the background and in Usher's face - emphasising star quality. 

Page Layout:
- Set out like a movie poster - the way the skyline is positioned.
- Skyline displays the key selling point, other stars which are also featured within VIBE magazine. 
- The maskhead is placed behind the cover star - shows Usher's importance. - VIBE is a well established magazine, so is recognisable without having to show the whole of the maskhead.
- The maskhead is in black font.
- The anchorage is the main cover line and reflects the image. It's also big and stands out - so audience knows who the magazine is mainly focussing on.
-  There's a barcode and QR code on the bottom left of the front cover. - A website link is also shown on the bottom left as a additional source to view more on VIBE.
- Cover lines and additional cover line are mainly on the left and are displayed in columns - making it neat and tidy.
- Colour scheme - yellow, black and blue - is consistent in the font - making it simple to read.
- The style of font is sans-serif, which makes the front cover modern and easy for the audience to read.
- '+' - puff.

Language:
- Informal language is used slightly, however front cover doesn't display that much text.
- Catchy, short words are shown - 'young and reckless'
- The type of genre the magazine is, is clear to the audience by the cover star and the skyline stars, which also reflect the genre.
